About Me
My Background
I am enthusiastic about education and strive to do the best for pupils. I have constantly been involved in education, having different roles and responsibilities as a parent, a learner, a teaching assistant, a teacher, and a tutor. I have also had essential duties such as first aider and safeguarding, continually seeking to promote the welfare of all children.

In brief, about myself.
My journey to becoming a teacher started long ago in Romania and since 2011 in the United Kingdom.
In 1990 I embraced a teaching career by attending the “Mihai Eminescu” High School, profile pedagogical primary school teacher, which led me into a world of emotions, creativity, sincerity, joy, harmony, beginnings, curiosities, discoveries, and the world of teaching.
In 1995, I graduated from this school and started working as a primary school teacher in state-maintained schools.
Having a passion for numbers, I had the opportunity to explore and gain experiences working in different areas as an economic officer and credit controller.
Since I came to England, I have gained vast experience working in primary and secondary education.
I volunteered and worked full-time as a teaching assistant within Modern Foreign Languages, Mathematics and English as Additional Language Departments.
I also had the opportunity to be a pastoral support assistant and taught mathematics to a Year 7 class.
During this time, my learning journey has not stopped. Therefore in 2019, I graduated BA (Hons) in Primary Education at Plymouth Marjon University with a 2:1 honours degree.
In 2020, I graduated Postgraduate Certificate in Education Primary with Mathematics at the University of Exeter, obtaining the Qualified Teacher Status. I am in the final year of my master’s degree, MA Education, at the University of Exeter.
In 2022, I qualified as an Academic Mentor for Mathematics at the National Tutoring Programme, working as a Private Tutor in Plymouth, Devon.
I organise and lead out-of-school clubs, events and parties for children.
More about my activities you can find on my Facebook pages, Arici Pogonici and CrisMaths Tutoring.
I am passionate about children achieving their absolute best in all areas of the curriculum and developing a genuine love of learning within a thriving and kind environment.
